Hey there!!
My name is Tania, I was born in Mexico City and raised in Cicero, IL. I am a Dreamer and I am passionate at everything that I do. My goal is to help my community and make it a better place with my sweet treats!
SUGAR SWEET DREAMS was born in April 2014 as a hobby, something to take my mind away from office work and all the stress of being a full time Collections Agent. Eventually someone asked me if I wanted to start making some extra money with my Cake Pop creations, which at that time, was the only thing I knew how to do. I went through the first steps to becoming a business. I created a Facebook page and off I went, taking on new challenges and coming up with new products, by experimenting and creating my own recipes.
I did not know where I was heading, but sure enough in September of 2014, a mother of a beautiful angel who is no longer with us, reached out to me. She asked me if I wanted to be part of an event that was held for children with Cancer and/or in remission; Of course I was frightened, but my heart and soul was ready to be more.
Being part of that event gave me inspiration and motive.
With Sugar Sweet Dreams, I want to make people happy and be part of Life's Celebrations. I want people to forget their worries and stresses of everyday life when looking, sharing and tasting my treats.
Making children smile when they see my cakes made me understand that we sometimes take life for granted. So I decided to continue my journey and become a Sugar Angel for Icing Smiles, whose mission is to celebrate and cherish children who are battling a terminal or chronic illness.
In the Summer of 2016, I got over my fears and the cakes I would make, came to life! I am still learning and getting better as I go, but there is no stopping me now! I thank my clients for all their feedback, because it has only made me better at what I do. I am working hard to lift my business to another level. I am looking forward to many more challenges to come, and to continue to serve my community and be part of many celebrations.
Love, Tania M
